About Us

Art Bangla Foundation aims to empower and establish artists with various art incentives and activities as Bangladeshi artists especially the emerging ones are less privileged. They need to be groomed with the contemporary development of global art activities and community engagement. Spearheaded by Professor Mohammad Eunus, the chairman, and Harun ar Rashid, the General Secretary and chief curator of the foundation, alongside several talented and dedicated art devotees, ‘The Art Bangla Foundation’ looks to execute various research-based and well-curated art activities in the coming years. We are also very hopeful regarding our plans through which we not only tend to shine among the local masses but also hold strong ground internationally.

The Art Bangla Foundation team had previously organized many successful initiatives in the arena of fine arts. We started our walk in 2016 with Art Festival held in Joypurhat, and continued to prosper with the franchise as it garnered appreciation in Gazipur in 2019. Taking a leap with our dreams, we next went on to arrange International Art Festival, Nilphamari in 2020 to disseminate and decentralize the light of art from the rushes of urban areas to the narrow alleys of Bangladesh.

From this year onwards, Art Bangla Foundation will organize this grand art festival, and subsequently the ‘International Art Festival, Mymensingh, 2022’ which will take place at Muktagachha, Mymensingh in December. To successfully organize this huge-scale art festival, Art Bangla Foundation, as a creative organizing force, demanded of time to emerge in the Bangladeshi art scene. Art Bangla Foundation inaugurated its new work with an exclusive art exhibition titled “Pratibimba Parampara” (Part-1) at its own gallery in Lalmatia, Dhaka in September 2022. The exhibition featured artworks by the pioneering and eminent artists of Bangladesh. We have many other upcoming art activities such as exhibitions, projects, workshops, symposiums, artist talks, schooling, and festivals. We earnestly request your spontaneous cooperation and philanthropic support for the smooth journey to materialize our cherished dreams.
